Day #31, Phoenix to Lake Havasu City AZ

Monday Nov. 9, 2009 - Today we drove from Phoenix to Lake Havasu City AZ. It's hard to believe how many RV's can be found in one area. There are used golf carts for sale every where. This is where many of the "Snowbirds" come for the winter.
The following are photos of statues that were in farm fields. The statues are about 20 ft high but looked very real.

Things we saw on the road to Lake Havasu City AZ. There are so many RV's and one very big chicken. We made a new state for this trip, California then back to Arizona.

Lake Havasu City AZ. They have small lighthouses, water, lots of sun and the London Bridge. In about 1964 someone bought the London Bridge and brought it to Arizona where he was developing Lake Havasu City. He reconstructed the bridge in the desert and the town grew up around the bridge. It is now a large city with lots of retired people mostly for the winter months.

The Animal of the day. Today Nina got some photos of quail and I got these photos of some black birds. We don't known what they are called but we see they alot in the southern states where is warm.

Tomorrow will be another day in Lake Havasu City for some boat rides.
