We stopped at "Casa Grande Ruins National Monument". Thousands of years ago the Indians farmed this area by using a large set of canals. This area is still being farmed using water from new canals. It looks like they grow mainly cotton and hay here.

Then we stopped in Mesa at the Temple. We saw more LDS Churches in Mesa than any other town we have been driving around in. Maybe we just got lucky.

The following are photos Nina took as we travel from Tucson to Phoenix. I don't know what the kid on the bike was doing but he could pull that cart mighty fast.

Sunday we plan to tour Phoenix.

Wow I love the cart the guy is pulling. Amazing. It looks like something you would see in Mexico not here in the US.
The Mesa Temple has such a different look to it. I love the sunshine. We haven't seen it for two weeks now. I think it returns in May.
