Day #27, Tucson AZ area

Thursday Nov 5, 2009 - Today we visited "Old Tucson Studio" & the "Desert Museum". They are both located about 15 miles west of Tucson.
First we went to the "Old Tucson Studio". They have made many movies here. John Wayne did many old movies here. The sad thing is I recognized some of the sets for movies I have watched.
They did some of "Little House on the Prairie" here and many more.

More Studio shots. Clint Eastwood used the mission.

Next we went to the "Desert Museum" which was a lot of trails with some walk in bird cages. There were lots of cactus plants of all kinds.

Animal of the day. Most of the animals photos came from the "Desert Museum" cages. The rabbit is wild. It was great you could get up close to all the birds.

They like their cactus in Tucson. They have set aside an entire park just for cactus plants. They have cactus every where around there. Their bus stops even have a metal cactus at one end.

The following are just photos Nina took as we were driving to and from the sight we went to today.

There are jets flying over all the time. I like the big white dear. Looks like a Christmas gift project. Looks like they do have some Indians in Tucson.

Nothing like a good old western movie!! It's fun you are looking for an animal a day. We saw a mouse last night while we were walking to our home teaching family. First one I've seen in Belarus. My animal for the day!!
