Nina has had me busy this month.
She said she wanted to raise the bed in the spare room because it was too close to the floor. I thought storage under the bed would be a good idea. So this was the result. Six new drawers to support the bed.
Then she told me that the drawers she used next to her sewing machine were always falling out. She said a new set of wooden drawers like the one I built for the garage would be good. She is always saying I build thing that are to nice for the garage. I'm just following my dad, he said he deserved good cabinets in his garage. Anyway the drawers below are the result of her request. Because I know my answer to Nina must be "yes Mam, right now and thank you".
Tomorrow we start our 2009 Alaska cruise. I'm ready to go.

Hydroplane Boat Races
Silverdale had Hydroplane Boat Races on Dyes Inlet Saturday and Sunday. These boat are very load. We could hear them from our backyard. They would races the big boats then in between they would have races for the small boats (R/C boats).
The following are pictures of the big boats. As you can see sometimes they made it back to the dock and some times they did not.
They used a crane to get the boats in and out of the water.
Then there were the little boats. As you can see some times the little boats did not make it back to the dock. So they would send out a recovery boat. A small row boat with Slim at the oars. There seems to always be problems of some kind.
I caught this R/C boat when it did a barrel roll.

Wooden Wagon Wheels
I was taking to Mary Anne the other day and she ask what I do with my time now that I am retired when I am not traveling. I told her I do stuff. I decided that was not a very good answer so this post show what I have been doing lately.
I made 4 wooden wagon wheels. They are about 36" in diameter. I intend to use them to support a 2 wheel cart for flower planter and to support a teeter-totter. Now that give me something else to do with my time.

Seattle Trip, Day 1
Nina & I went in to Seattle the other day to show her the Seattle Aquarium. When we got inside she started recognize things. We finally decided that she had been to the aquarium before. It had changed a lot, so we both got to see the new version of the aquarium.
Oh, and there will not be a "Day 2" to the Seattle trip. We can get to Seattle & back in 1 Day.
